Forgive is easier than forget. And Forgiving someone is esier said than done. Some people don't want to forgive, perhaps because they think that it means they are condoning the wrong act... Is it like that? I don't know. Because I m type of person who very easy to forgive and forget. That's my weakness, I admit it.
Forgiveness doesn't mean we are ingnoring the implications of the act but it does means that we are letting go the past and try to give ourselves a room to understand that everybody made mistake. Even us! Sometime we feel that people like to hurt us... but there's time also without realised, we also hurt someone else. Most of the time we asked other person "Why you hurt me?". Do we ever asked them, "Did I hurt you?"
In life, we encounter all kinds of people and situations that make us angry, disapointed and hurt. We may have lost count of the number of time we fight we our family members, friends, collegues or even strangers over all sort of issue... small and big. Or perhaps the situation even incited deep range, such as being betrayed by our dearest person or being hurt by someone we love with bad intentions.
As the time goes by, we may store these incident inside our heart, letting the resentment and anger build up. Or we could learn to forgive, forget and let our bodies and mind heal from the pain. All in our hand. We choose what we want.
I said again, none of us are perfect. Sometime, we are the ones who commit wrong doing and hurt others, whether deliberately or inadvertently. In such case, we will feel guilty and sorry. We would want other party to forgive us. But first, we have to forgive ourselves or we will live with guilty forever. It will be very digicult to ask forviness from someone else. In ythat case, simply extend our sincere apologies but don't make excuse for our behaviour. If other person doesn't to forgive, we can't force them. Just find peace in ourselves and face it.
Everybody has a problem, everybody has a bad time. Do we will sacrifice all the good thing and the good time just for that?
