Vaccines are important tools to prevent diseases before they break out. Especially for children. According to CDCP in US, vaccinations play a major rule in the preventions of disease ensuring that your child lives a safe, healthy, happy and disaster free. The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that up to 500,000 diarrhoeal disease can be prevented through vaccinations. The word vaccination was first used by Edward Jenner in 1796, a British physician who tested the possibility of using the cowpox vaccine as an immunization for smallpox in humans for the first time.

1. Rotavirus
Cause severe diarrhoea which is leading the leading cause of preventable death among infant di developing countries. It starts with fever and vomiting, followed by diorrhoe. The dehydrations that occur may result in shock, kidney failure and possible brain damage. The Vaccination of rotavirus often given between six and 24 weeks
2. Pneumoccocal
is Caused by a type of bacteria known as Streptococcus pneumoniae. this bacterium can cause otitis media, sinusitis, septicaemia, meningitis as well as pneumonia. The best way to protect against this disease is through vaccinations.
3. Chickenpox
Because the chickenpox is highly contagious among children, they should receive the chickenpox vaccine when they are around 12 to 15 months old. Its spread through the air or by contact woith fluids from the blisters.
4. Hepatitis A
is an inflammation of the liver that is commonly caused by viral infection. Children who go to day care centres or kindergarten are at higher risk of contracting hepatitis A. All children above the age of two years can be vaccinated with two doses, given six month apart.
5. Influenza
Influenza also a very contagious viral infection of the respiratory tract. Some complications may arise from influenza include ear infections, pneumonia and myocarditis. Healthcare experts recomend influenza vaccinations every year as the virus is constantly changing, leading to new vaccines being produces every year.
